“ Very good - pricey! Sushi and soup were so good. Device in graduation weekend was poor, but we had good service Mom's weekend. ”
“ Did we drive 2 and a half hours to come to this Kofusion? Yes. Yes we did. Did we regret it? Not one bit. This spicy Korean chicken is our absolute favorite. Graduating from U of I has been disheartening as that means I am further away from this place. They're always so nice and quick to service. It wasn't busy or crowded at all. The environment was just as I remembered. Thank you KoFusion! ”
“ There are two locations for KoFusion in C-U and this one is located on campus in residential area surrounded by the University. The menu is pan-Asian so there are entrees that reflect a variety of cuisines, including Japanese and Thai. I opted for the Penang curry while one of my colleagues had the Rainbow Roll. The curry was perfectly spiced with a medium heat and the portion was so large I couldn't quite finish it all. The assortment of vegetables with the shrimp was very nice, topped with some cashews. The Rainbow Roll also was very large with generous portions of sashimi atop it. Prices are reasonable. Service is good as well. Recommended. ”
“ I went on a tour of the University of Illinois today and afterwards, my son and I decided to stop in for sushi. The first thing I noticed is how modern the facility was and how clean it was. When we walked in, there was a self-serve kiosk and it was extremely easy to navigate. I love the fact that there was a description of each dish and a photograph to help making our decisions a little easier. After looking at our options, my son decided to have the Korean BBQ wings with udon noodles. He loved the wings and I loved the noodles although they were a bit too spicy for my taste. If they were a little less spicy, this would have been the perfect comfort food for me. I love that they had a tasting plate for the sushi so I was able to try each of the $1 sushi. We ordered eight pieces and devoured it quickly. We ended up ordering another platter of sushi. I don't typically like sushi with cheese, so the creamy roll was not my favorite. The Cali and spicy crab were both good, but the Coco roll put them all to shame. It was amazing! If I'm ever in a place where this restaurant is, I would definitely go back, order the Coco rolls and a side of the udon noodles. This was a very good lunch! ”
“ The Ko-Fusion Campus is right on campus near the CRCE, so it's a good place for students at the departments nearby to go for a quick meal. It provides with a electronic ordering system, which is convenient for me as an introvert and for people who choose the to-go option. I ordered a Korean Spicy Chicken with extra sauce, and a plate of Big Roll. The rice was soft (but I think soft rice always tends to make me sleepy afterwards); the chicken was a little hard at the edges somewhere, but was good in general; the Sushi plate only contains 6 pc, which I think the amount is too little, but the fried outer part was well cooked! Generally speaking, the environment inside is nice, staff are friendly, but the food may be expected to be better, and the prices are not very cheap for a quick meal, especially the Sushi. Anw, it seems to be a popular place due to its excellent location! ”
“ This is a great place if you're looking for some Asian fusion and easy and quick. Their udon stir fries are DELICIOUS, I recommend a medium spice with shrimp. They have both sushi and Japanese stir fry options. The ambience is casual and semi-fast dining. It's a good place to chill and catch up with friends. ”
“ Great food. Got some shrimp mango roll with coconut flakes- out of this world. So was miso soup and dumpling. Service was excellent. The prices are pretty steep tho- especially for college kids ”
“ KoFusion is incredible. The ambiance is great, very high end, food is wonderful. We ordered vegan style: bibimbap, veggie dumplings, shiitake veggie maki... all were amazing. Food reviews below! Veggie dumplings 9/10 - Great portion size, 5 dumplings for $6, deep fried, crispy and delicious. Perfect to share and stuffed with yummy tofu. Bibimbap 10/10 - So good! Crispy rice, delicious tofu, mushrooms. Definitely recommend. Shiitake Maki 8/10 - Pretty good. Too much rice for my liking, would of preferred more mushroom and less rice. I love getting it deep fried though, it made it so good! Overall would recommend this place for delicious japanese food with great vegan options! ”
“ Very clean and really nice employees! The cashier was knowledgeable about the dishes and made sure I didn't pick a dish that had ingredients I was allergic to, and was patient about me taking some time to pick something that wouldn't kill me lol. Also, the food was really yummy and pretty! ”
“ Really good sushi and the vibe is very cute and clean. They don't have as many options as their downtown location but the stuff they do have is really good! their dollar sushi is definitely worth it and all the pieces are so good, i'd recommend the sampler find you favorites. I really like the all of them but my favorite are creamy, coco and spicy crab. For regular rolls if recommend the Chicago roll or the white dragon. I will agree with other reviewers however that this place is expensive and the sushi pieces r on the smaller end, I usually only come for the dollar sushi, as like a snack. ”
